Vito Colella is a professional aviator who has held a variety of jobs in the aviation industry, both in and out of the cockpit. He has both the experience and passion for logistics, through various leadership positions he has held in his life. In addition to working as a Flight Dispatcher, Certified Flight Instructor, and Skydive Pilot, Vito served as the Captain of The Jacksonville University NIFA Flight Team. Within this role, Vito worked to coordinate the training of over thirty collegiate aviators, developed contingency plans for aircraft transport and maintenance, and developed lasting relationships with partner Universities. By ensuring that all team members had the tools and resources to succeed, Vito led the team to success, securing a third place regional title, and leading the team to the NIFA Flight Team National Competition. Vito also served as the President of Alpha Eta Rho, Aviation Business Fraternity, where he coordinated various fund raising events for the chapter and for the community, including a fly-in to Saint Augustine airport. There, the chapter was given the opportunity to speak to students in the local community about the future of aviation and the importance of education.
For his role at Blue Venture Advisors, Vito uses his experience in logistics, planning, sales and market research, to seek new deals for the company and accomplish the movement of materials in the most efficient way. He now focuses on handling DoD contracting, sales, and operating a Covid-19 private jet fleet that specializes in part 135 hazmat operations. Throughout his years working in the aviation industry, he has acquired a skillset unique to most people. Vito has seen what it takes to operate a flight school, maintain aircraft up the FAA legal standard, lead two of the most prestigious aviation organizations on campus at the same time, all while working full time as a flight instructor and student. Not only is time management a must in this industry, but moving efficiently and easily is something Vito excels at not only at Blue Venture Advisors, but anywhere he goes.
Vito holds a Bachelors degree from Jacksonville University in Aviation Management and Flight Operations. He holds an FAA, Multi Engine Airline Transport Pilot certificate along with flight instructor instrument privileges.
