Jay Sookhakitch is a finance and product strategy professional with more than a decade of experience across defense, finance, and international business. As Director of Product & Investor Partnerships for our Defense Contracting and Private Equity business lines, Jay supports Blue Venture Advisors and our partner Investment Bank through product development, data analytics, and client onboarding. He also leads investor communications, relationship management, and the preparation of companies for institutional capital raising. He is studying as a candidate for FINRA Series 63 and Series 7 securities licenses.
Jay began his investment career at HHS Capital, where he analyzed more than $1 billion in real estate transactions and advanced to Vice President of Acquisitions and Managing Partner of Lending. He later served as Managing Partner of a fintech private lending platform that closed more than $20 million in financing for accredited investors. At Alvear Ventures, he helped develop a capital ecosystem spanning private equity lending and a FINRA registered Regulation CF funding portal, working across product development, partnerships, analytics, deal workflows, and capital-readiness processes. Jay also brings cross-border defense industry trade experience throughout Southeast Asia. As Managing Director of The Futura Group and through other commercial ventures, he developed partnerships across Thailand, Indonesia, China, and the broader Asia Pacific region. His work has included manufacturing, infrastructure, industrial supply chains, market entry, and government and defense-related procurement initiatives.
At Blue Venture Advisors, he applies this experience to defense and dual-use technology companies seeking stronger capital strategies, commercial partnerships, and export/import opportunities. Jay is currently completing a Master of Science in Business Analytics at Cornell University. He holds a BS in International Business from Lynn University, summa cum laude. He is based between our Bangkok and Chicago offices.
