Jamie Newell is strategic development consultant with over 20 years of experience across real estate development and site selection, where she focuses on supporting clients in the defense and energy sectors.
For Blue Venture Advisors, she is our Strategic Advisor of Defense & Energy Projects in our North Carolina office. Jamie supports Blue Venture Advisors in qualifying growth-stage companies in defense and energy, developing a project readiness plan, sourcing non dilutive capital, and investor relations.
She began her career performing business development services for engineering firms in the construction industry prior to moving over to a Global Commercial real estate firm where she focused on procuring foreign direct investment seeking US market entry. She now operates her own firm, Eastward H2, focused on energy and national security projects where she represents companies engaged in the development of micro grids, hydrogen fuel cell technology, and the expansion of defense technology companies across the US.
Jamie serves on the Advisory Council of the Transatlantic Business Investment Council, the Executive Committee for the National Defense Industrial Association of North Carolina, and the Education Committee as a Founding Member of the Southeast Hydrogen Energy Alliance. Raised by a distinguished Army veteran, she supports our nation’s heroes through her involvement in the All Secure Foundation and Shields and Stripes.
Jamie holds a BS in Business Management from Longwood University. Outside of work, she enjoys bird hunting with her dog Pax, paddle boarding, scuba diving, and volunteering in her community and with her church.
